HOW MUCH LAND YOU NEED?

My trip to karwar during last week was a fun and got  a new learning from the nature.

Karwar, is located at north Karnataka and south of Goa is another beautiful place in the Konkan zone.  Pollution  free  Oxygen rich air because of plenty of coconut and other trees and fewer vehicles. The sea is rich in marine life; oysters, shrimps, shellfish and other varieties of fishes.

It has  a shallow sea and curvaceous shores and hills all made up of  porous laterite rocks that meet the sea.  The porosity of the rocks helps the oysters, crabs  and other crustaceans to stabilize and grow rapidly.    During one morning walk on the beach of Kodibag, I saw a plenty of tiny baby crabs , concentrated at one place on the shore. Almost everybody had created its house  by digging holes in the sandy shore.  Some of these tiny baby crabs are fighting to keep possession of their own houses and some are trying to get a possession of readily created ones. Everyone has its own area of possession of around 4 cm radius.  They are all busy in searching for food and  fighting to maintain the area from intruders.

A few meters away there is a colony of another species of crabs, having a size of 3 cm width. They  have only one big claw instead of a pair ( called fiddler crabs). This  single big claw is for showing muscle power and signaling the messages across crab community. The whole community is signaling to each other throughout the day and this species is also fighting for the precious house as the baby crabs, as mentioned earlier. The most disciplined part is, the colonies of these two species are just next to each other (Fiddler crabs and the baby crabs  of other species ), they are fighting in their own community and not trespassing into the others.

I was on the jetty situated on the top of this sandy shore , watching the fun of these small creatures where an individual is fighting for the piece of its land measuring 4 to 10 cm. The whole area was live with crab babies and fiddler crabs.

Resemblance:

And I realized, what we humans are doing, what a 3 cm land to a baby crab  may be a few acres for a greedy human and still not satisfied. Every human is fighting for a piece of land, measuring few acres at  prime locations etc. When I told this to my friend who works in a construction industry, he laughed. He is busy in acquiring more land, constructing houses and earning more money.

Self help:

  1. Calm your mind and look within will you be happier if you grab / purchase more land at the cost of peace and love.
  2. Are we accumulating something more than what we need now or in future?

why politicians do not commit suicide?

Why politicians do not commit suicide?

Since last 6 months, Mumbai based newspapers   are flashing news about suicide of mothers after killing their kids. Someone initiated this method and the others are following. This method is like this, the desperate, frustrated mother first throws her kids from the top of balcony of multistoried building and then jumps  herself to death. Easy solution for all current problems in life. Mostly those problems are dowry, trouble from in laws, worry about kids if she alone dies, husband not supporting etc. Does this situation become so heavy that even highly educated women prompted for suicide?

Farmers from draught prone areas are killing themselves are they failed to repay the loans repeatedly. On the other side politicians and their  relatives are given loans in huge value, they also failed to return it, and still no one is asking them. All these politicians are alive and healthy.

Psychological view :

  •  Problems are in everybody’s life. How one takes them decides the path.
  • One who is pessimistic will put a tag that the world is like this and I deserve the pain. Negativity attracts more negativity and the person sinks down and down mentally. Finally, the feeling  of ‘I am alone in this world and there is no escape than death’ takes shape.
  • One who is optimistic will put a tag that this is not my world; I demand to find my own world of peace, joy and love. It is a matter of time. I must keep trying.

 Spiritual view:-

Spiritually all problems are supposed to develop you in areas those you are weak or if you created similar problems in previous life(s) for someone, you have to endure those problems in this life. What we see now as, rich land lords, Govt. Authorities, legal manipulators who are troubling innocents in the pursuit of rampant wealth are accumulating bad karma. If they are able to escape the country’s law this life, the debt will be paid back some time in next births. This is a spiritual law.

Now we will see how politicians manage their stressful situations

Emotional hardiness of politicians:-

Politicians in power cannot keep themselves away from the lure of wealth. Power corrupts them.  The environment of corruption & power toughens up one’s soft and fresh mind. This path of corruption involves, negotiation, threats, coercion, 3Ws ( wine –woman – wealth),  threat of getting caught red handed etc. With every deal the politician is hardened and become so shameless, that he starts reiterating his innocence even after proving guilty in legal court. It is also true that a softhearted person cannot survive in politics.

When a politician is caught for the first time, perhaps the senior of the group who is already hardened supports  him. Slowly experience by experience everyone gets thick skinned, they all accumulate enough immune to withstand any negative condition.

The best example is Maharashtra’s ex CM. The supreme court ordered the Mahrashtra (MH) Govt, to pay  Rs 1 million  because this CM while in power   took side of a landlord and informed police dpt. not to register a complaint from a farmer who had taken loan from this notorious landlord and harassing the innocents. For this mistake of CM, the MH Gvt paid Rs 1 million but failed to ask the CM to justify it. Initially there was a big public cry but subsequently everyone forgot the issue.

What makes these politicians so stress hardy that we common people generally do not have?

Politicians are always highly optimistic. They believe in following 3 Cs.

  1. Control: with the accumulated experience, they feel that every situation can be controlled. They sometimes cross limits to control the election process itself. With money, they even try to bend the legal system in their favor. Sometimes coercion is also used.
  2. Challenge: they are confident that the current situation can be challenged. Opposition, legal system, people, law and order  can be challenged. Offence is the best defense.
  3. Commitment:  they are committed to corruption and earning money anyhow for contesting next election. Senior party members are committed to save juniors.

Even though they are caught red handed, they have similar old cases in front of their eyes, that politicians were charged but managed to escape. It’s a matter of time and cost. So why worry ?

Self help:

  • NOW THINK OF YOURSELF. HOW VULNERABLE YOU HAVE MADE YOURSELFBY NEGATIVE THINKING.
  • LEARN FROM POLITICIANS THE 3Cs  MENTIONED ABOVE AND WHERE AND HOW YOU CAN IMPLEMENT THEM ( in good sense)
